Out of the spotlight but not out of things to say, former Vice President Kamala Harris took aim at President Trump this week, blasting his first 100 days back in the White House. Speaking to fellow Democrats at a fancy gala in her old San Francisco stomping grounds, Harris accused Trump of a “wholesale abandonment” of American ideals.

She warned the crowd that Trump is pushing a long-planned “conservative agenda” designed to slash public services and hand government functions over to the wealthy. It’s the kind of rhetoric Democrats trot out when they don’t like tax cuts or efforts to trim bloated government budgets.
Harris urged Democrats to find their “courage” and use their “public voice” – presumably to complain about the current administration. She rattled off a list of fellow Trump critics she admires, including far-left figures like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, along with others like Cory Booker and Jasmine Crockett.
While dodging questions about her own political future, Harris is clearly staying in the game. She’s still fundraising through a joint committee, pulling in cash for herself, the DNC, and state parties. Recent emails show her calling for Democrats to organize and stop Trump’s agenda, positioning herself as a fighter against both the President and figures like Elon Musk.
One supporter at the event lamented Harris’s loss in the last election as a “shock,” saying Harris is “a voice we need” and urging her to “get back in the fight.” It seems Harris agrees, signaling she plans to be a vocal opponent as Democrats gear up for the 2026 midterms.
