Talk about an airport meltdown! An Alabama mom lost it at Miami International Airport, allegedly attacking an American Airlines worker after her kids wandered off to the bathroom.

Camilia McMillie, 25, was trying to get to New York City back in December 2022 after missing a flight. While waiting at the gate, her two young children apparently went to use the restroom without telling her. When McMillie realized they were gone, witnesses say she flew into a rage.
Instead of calmly asking for help, McMillie reportedly confronted the gate agent, demanding she find the kids. Things escalated quickly. She allegedly ripped the boarding pass reader right off the counter, damaging it and the counter itself.
But she wasn’t done. Viral video captured the shocking moment McMillie allegedly grabbed a computer monitor and hurled it at the gate agent, hitting the employee – who was wearing festive reindeer antlers – in the shoulder. The worker suffered bruising.
The tantrum didn’t just injure the employee; it also caused a reported $10,000 in damage to airport equipment. Customs and Border Protection officers detained McMillie until Miami-Dade police arrived to slap the cuffs on her.
McMillie was arrested and hit with charges including aggravated battery, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. A judge set her bond at $4,500.
American Airlines wasn’t having it, stating, “Acts of violence against our team members are not tolerated.” The airline confirmed they’re working with law enforcement and supporting their injured employee.
Florida’s Department of Children and Families also got involved to assist McMillie’s children after the chaotic incident. It’s a stark reminder that losing your cool in public, especially at an airport, can lead to serious trouble.
