Navarro: China Killing Americans With Drugs, Stealing Jobs

Trump advisor Peter Navarro isn’t mincing words, putting China squarely in the crosshairs for devastating America on two fronts: deadly drugs and stolen jobs. Navarro, a key architect of Trump’s tough-on-China trade policies, laid out the grim reality of Beijing’s impact.

First, the fentanyl flooding our streets. Navarro bluntly accuses China of killing over a million Americans with the poison. While the total number of opioid deaths since 2000 tops one million, fentanyl is the lead killer now, claiming a staggering 73,654 lives in 2022 alone – more than double the number just three years earlier. Much of this illicit killer drug originates in China, often flowing through Mexico before hitting American communities from West Virginia to California.

Then there’s the economic carnage. Navarro points the finger at China for wiping out over 60,000 American factories and snatching more than 5 million manufacturing jobs since they joined the World Trade Organization – a move Navarro slams as a catastrophic mistake. He argues China played dirty, manipulating currency and stealing technology while enjoying easy access to U.S. markets.

Navarro’s solution? Hit back hard. Think steep tariffs on Chinese goods and ripping up bad trade deals to force manufacturing back home. It’s the kind of America First policy talk that resonates with folks tired of seeing jobs shipped overseas and communities ravaged by drugs pouring across the border. Critics might whine about trade wars, but Navarro insists it’s time to stand up to China’s economic and chemical warfare against the USA.
