Just when you thought the dust had settled on the chaotic 2024 election, a new book is pulling back the curtain on just how bad things really got inside Joe Biden’s camp before his campaign imploded.
New details from Biden’s mental decline from Chris Whipple’s new book, Uncharted:
George Stephanopoulos described Biden as “heartbreaking up close” during an interview after Biden’s disastrous 2024 debate against Trump.

Chris Whipple’s bombshell book, “Uncharted,” paints a grim picture of a president fading fast in the run-up to that disastrous June debate against Donald Trump. Forget the spin – Biden’s own former chief of staff, Ron Klain, reportedly described his old boss as “fatigued, befuddled, and disengaged” during debate prep.
It gets worse. Whipple writes that the then-82-year-old Biden was so “exhausted and out of it” during strategy sessions that he actually walked out of one meeting only to be found snoozing by the pool later. Yikes.
We all saw what happened next: Biden’s shaky performance shocked the nation and torpedoed his re-election bid, forcing him to step aside just weeks later.
But according to Whipple, Biden’s closest advisors were trapped in a “fog of delusion and denial,” unwilling or unable to confront the obvious reality of his decline. They reportedly convinced themselves he could still govern, even as the signs pointed elsewhere. Sounds like a classic case of the emperor having no clothes, right?
While Biden’s team fiddled, the country watched, and ultimately, Kamala Harris couldn’t salvage the campaign, paving the way for Trump’s return to the White House. “Uncharted” is just the latest account confirming what many suspected all along: the Biden White House was trying desperately to hide the truth about the president’s condition until it was far too late.
