An Arizona rancher living on the front lines of the border battle is finally seeing relief, thanks to President Trump’s tough stance on illegal immigration. John Ladd, whose family has worked their 16,400-acre spread along the U.S.-Mexico line for four generations, says things have drastically changed for the better since Trump returned to the White House.
John Ladd, a border rancher from Arizona, says that since Trump took office, illegals crossing through his property have gone from 50-200 per day to only 3 per day with no getaways.

Ladd knows the border nightmare firsthand. Back in the wild days of the mid-90s, he saw as many as 700 migrants trampling across his Naco, Arizona property *every single day*. It was chaos – fences busted, property stolen, and the grim reality of finding bodies left behind by the dangerous trek. Over 30 years, Ladd discovered 14 deceased individuals on his land.
While some fencing went up under Bush and Obama, Ladd insists it wasn’t just about barriers. He credits President Trump’s policies and no-nonsense rhetoric with truly turning the tide. According to the rancher, Trump’s approach acted as the real deterrent, scaring off the waves of illegal crossers.
And the proof is on the ground. Ladd reports that the flood of migrants has slowed to a trickle. Instead of hundreds pouring over daily, he now sees maybe 10 individuals. The constant property damage and safety fears that plagued his family for decades have significantly eased. It’s a stark contrast, showing that strong leadership and decisive action at the border can make a real difference for Americans living in the crosshairs.
