President Trump is giving high marks to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for taking the fight to the Houthi rebels messing with ships in the Red Sea. Seems like the days of tiptoeing around bad actors are over.
President Trump: Pete Hegseth is doing a GREAT job. Just ask the Houthis. They'll tell you that! pic.twitter.com/MR0Nm2EofH

Remember back in March when the U.S. finally started hitting back hard against these Iran-backed troublemakers? That was Hegseth’s call. He promised the campaign would be “unrelenting” until the Houthis knock it off.
“The minute the Houthis say ‘we’ll stop shooting at your ships, we’ll stop shooting at your drones,’ this campaign will end,” Hegseth declared, making it crystal clear who’s in charge. “But until then, it will be unrelenting.” Refreshing, isn’t it?
For months, these Houthi militants have been causing chaos, attacking American and allied vessels since last fall, trying to choke off vital shipping lanes. Central Command says the strikes are about defending America, stopping our enemies, and keeping the seas open for business.
Hegseth didn’t mince words for the Houthis’ puppet masters in Tehran either. “Your support of the Houthis needs to end immediately,” he warned Iran. “We will hold you accountable as the sponsor of this proxy.” It’s about time someone put Iran on notice.
While the usual hand-wringers worry about “implications,” the U.S. military is focused on protecting American interests and ensuring ships can pass safely. Looks like under Trump and Hegseth, America isn’t afraid to punch back.
