Pentagon Advisor Booted for Leaking Secrets to Liberal Media

Big changes at the Pentagon as a top advisor to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth got the boot this week. Dan Caldwell was marched out of the building Wednesday and slapped on administrative leave over what officials are calling an “unauthorized disclosure.”

Sources say the trouble started back in March during a Signal group chat about sensitive military operations in Yemen. Somehow, Jeffrey Goldberg, editor of the left-leaning *The Atlantic*, ended up in the chat – definitely not cleared for that kind of info. Oops. During the chat, Secretary Hegseth apparently ID’d Caldwell as the go-to guy on the Yemen offensive.

Now, the Pentagon isn’t messing around. They’ve launched a full-blown investigation into recent leaks, complete with polygraph tests for personnel. Anyone caught spilling secrets is facing potential criminal charges. This leak seems to have been the last straw.

Caldwell wasn’t the only one caught up in the sweep. Darin Selnick, the Pentagon’s Deputy Chief of Staff, and Colin Carroll, Chief of Staff to Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg, were also suspended pending the investigation’s outcome.

Interestingly, Caldwell is known for pushing to reduce America’s military footprint overseas, wanting troops pulled from Europe, Iraq, and Syria.

The swift suspensions show the Department of Defense under President Trump isn’t tolerating leaks of sensitive military info. Stay tuned to see who else gets caught in the Pentagon’s dragnet.
