Lemon Defends Fired MSNBC ‘Race Baiters,’ Slams Network

Remember Don Lemon? The anchor CNN famously booted back in 2023? Well, he’s resurfaced with some choice words for his former cable news rivals over at MSNBC.

Speaking on a podcast Thursday, Lemon blasted MSNBC for ditching hosts like Joy Reid, Tiffany Cross, and Mehdi Hasan. He called them the network’s “strongest, fiercest” voices and whined that their exits prove MSNBC is folding under pressure from President Trump.

Lemon seemed to think these hosts, known for their often divisive takes, were essential voices speaking for “marginalized communities.” He even pulled out a Martin Luther King Jr. quote, suggesting MSNBC chose “order over justice” by letting go of folks who constantly stirred the pot.

In a moment of surprising candor, or perhaps a slip-up, Lemon actually used the term “race baiting” to describe the very approach these hosts took, while simultaneously lamenting that such critical voices were being silenced. He complained that people who challenge the status quo often get slapped with negative labels.

It seems Lemon believes the network made a huge mistake ditching these personalities, arguing they represented crucial opposition to the administration. His comments come amid ongoing debates about media bias and the direction of networks trying to navigate the current political landscape.

    It was good that MSNBC terminated those people. It needs to terminate more of the outrageous people who consistently lie about our president. Many of their anousers and guests called Trump a faciest and said he was like Hitler. Hitler had many dozens of people murdered before he ever started World War Two. He abolished the press and all his opponents early on. MSNBC, CNN, ABC and other’s still are allowed to lie non stop about what is happening in America. The have always been very extreme and never had a honest and balanced approach to Trump or the Republican party. Like the Democrats they have learned nothing after the election results in November. Their views are not the views of the average American citizen. That’s why they have unbelievable low ratings and few people watch them. Rachel Madowes program has not been able to make money ever. Keep up the good work MSNBC. We like the fact that you are basically a nonfactor in the News industry.

    Don Lemon and the rest of the left wing crazies need to find a job and do real work at a job where policies are implemented and upheld.
    They are so out of touch with average Americans who go to work everyday and work to earn a paycheck.
    These crazies couldn’t hold down a real job because they don’t comprehend how hard it is for people to go work everyday so they can live their lives lawfully and be able to pay their bills. Hey Don go find a real job then you might be able to talk intelligently to people instead of being the laughing stock of journalism I mean fake news

    Lemon argued that these fired personalities “represented crucial opposition to the administration”, but does not explain just how spouting hatred with no constructive criticism is crucial. A logical and rational opposing discussion on policies and actions is one thing, but to just declare a politician is wrong without bringing up decent advice for change is an unwarranted attack, with no redeeming qualities.
