Looks like Al Sharpton picked a fight he might regret. After PepsiCo finally saw the light and dumped its woke DEI programs back in February, Sharpton started rattling his sabers, threatening boycotts unless the soda giant brought the divisive initiatives back.
Enter conservative activist Robby Starbuck, who’s been leading the charge against corporate wokeness. Starbuck isn’t having any of Sharpton’s threats.
🚨Robby Starbuck Sends A Scorching Message To Al Sharpton for Threatening a PepsiCo Boycott If They Don't Return DEI Initiatives:
"Al Sharpton, why are you such a coward? You want to convince people behind the pressure forcing DEI out of America? Step up buddy." pic.twitter.com/0q7cZDNbqz

Starbuck essentially told Sharpton to put his money where his mouth is. If Sharpton really believes in these race-based programs, maybe he should fund them himself instead of trying to bully companies into it.
PepsiCo, along with other giants like Walmart and Target, recently scaled back or completely eliminated their DEI departments, thanks in part to pressure from activists like Starbuck and fed-up consumers tired of corporations pushing political agendas. They cited political pressure and a desire to focus on business, not divisive identity politics.
But Sharpton, never one to miss a shakedown opportunity, fired off a letter to PepsiCo’s CEO, whining about “profound disappointment” and demanding the company reinstate programs aimed at hitting racial quotas. He even threatened a boycott if Pepsi didn’t cave.
Starbuck’s response cuts through the noise, highlighting the absurdity of Sharpton demanding companies enforce policies based on race while claiming to fight for equality. Starbuck has been clear: companies should stay neutral and focus on serving customers, not pushing left-wing social engineering.
PepsiCo has reportedly agreed to meet with Sharpton, likely hoping to appease the race-baiter. Whether they’ll stand firm or fold remains to be seen, but the battle lines are drawn in the ongoing war against corporate DEI nonsense.
