Trump Assails WSJ Tariff Criticism, Calls It ‘Polluted Thinking’

President Trump isn’t backing down from his trade war critics, firing back at the Wall Street Journal after they slammed his tariffs.

The paper’s editorial board recently labeled the President’s tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China “the dumbest trade war in history,” whining that they could hurt the economy.

Trump, never one to shy away from a fight, took to social media to torch the Journal’s take. He accused the publication of being tainted by “the polluted thinking of the European Union,” suggesting their globalist views are out of step with America’s best interests.

The President didn’t stop there, calling the Journal’s perspective “antiquated and weak” and declaring it was simply “very bad for the USA.” This latest dust-up highlights the ongoing battle between Trump and media outlets who consistently oppose his America First agenda and his efforts to reset unfair trade deals.
