Stephen Miller wasn’t pulling any punches. The White House advisor unloaded on the press corps Thursday, accusing reporters of covering up for violent criminals crossing the border while ignoring the suffering of American victims. Miller, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor, turned a routine press briefing into a fiery showdown over immigration.

Flanked by Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Miller ripped into the media for what he called their obsession with defending alleged MS-13 terrorists instead of reporting honestly about the consequences of failed border policies. He didn’t mince words, telling the assembled journalists, “You’re not going to get an ounce of sympathy from this administration for the terrorists who’ve invaded our homes and our country.”
Miller pointed directly to the horrific case of Jocelyn Nungury, a young girl tragically kidnapped, tortured, and murdered. He laid the blame squarely at the feet of the previous administration, claiming the two Venezuelan nationals charged with her death – described by Miller as “trained terrorists” – were released into the U.S. under Joe Biden’s watch.
“It was the result of that decision?” Miller challenged the press. “Those two men kidnapped a young girl… They beat her. They sexually assaulted her. They tortured her.” He slammed the media for downplaying the link between lax immigration enforcement and violent crime affecting innocent Americans.
This tough stance reflects not only the Trump administration’s policy but also Miller’s ongoing work with America First Legal. The conservative legal group, which Miller co-founded, has been aggressively fighting back against liberal policies, including filing lawsuits challenging DEI initiatives and woke agendas in schools and corporations across the country.
While legacy media outlets predictably painted Miller’s comments as merely “confrontational,” his direct, unapologetic defense of American citizens and condemnation of open-border chaos resonated with many tired of seeing victims ignored and criminals excused. Miller made it clear: this White House stands with Americans, not the invaders.
