Recent leaks have shed light on some unsettling internal communications at the CIA, particularly surrounding the late televangelist Pat Robertson.

In these leaked messages, employees didn’t hold back, with one commenting, “It was so smoky yesterday because the gates of hell opened up to let him in.”
This message was shared on a National Security Agency chat server following Robertson’s death on June 8, 2023.
Another employee jumped in, bluntly announcing, “Pat Robertson Is Dead Everyone,” which turned out to be an acrostic work of wordplay.
As the conversation continued, another quipped, “Only the good die young,” followed by a pun about their grandmother’s survival.
One employee echoed a belief they had: “I was always taught never to say anything about the dead unless it’s good. He’s dead. Good.”
This chatter about Robertson has come to light as part of a wider exposé by journalist Christopher Rufo, who revealed notable internal correspondence among U.S. intelligence employees.
Rufo commented that the tone of these chats reflects a broader trend of disdain for various groups, including Christians and conservatives.
He remarked, “Here are CIA officials celebrating the death of Christian leader Pat Robertson. This is a recurring theme in the NSA chatrooms: hatred against Christians, conservatives, Italians, and heterosexuals.”
The context of these chats is serious, as Rufo previously reported on other questionable discussions involving sexually explicit topics in violation of agency policies.
He referred to it as a “five-alarm fire,” given the sensitivity and responsibility associated with the agency’s work.
The situation has caught the attention of SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who voiced his concerns and suggested major changes were necessary.
In the aftermath of these revelations, Tulsi Gabbard, the newly appointed Director of National Intelligence, announced that over 100 intelligence employees will be let go, along with a revocation of their security clearances due to the scandal.
As the implications of these internal conversations continue to unfold, the intelligence community faces significant scrutiny and calls for reform.
