RFK Jr. shares testimony claiming God sent him Donald Trump during Arizona tour

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. doesn’t shy away from discussing the divine influence he believes brought him to this moment in his political journey. During a recent appearance on the Tucker Carlson Live tour in Glendale, Arizona, Kennedy shared his belief that “God sent” him former President Donald Trump as a crucial ally in his mission to improve children’s health.

The gathering buzzed with excitement as Kennedy recounted his personal journey of faith, revealing his commitment to daily prayer for nearly two decades. “Since 2005, I spent 30 minutes praying every day when I get out of bed,” he told the enthusiastic audience, prompting a wave of applause that reflected their shared sentiment.

In his heartfelt testimony, he remarked, “For 19 years, I asked God to put me in a position where I could end the chronic disease epidemic and bring health back to our children, and in August, God sent me Donald Trump.” This moment marks a significant turning point, as in August, Kennedy decided to pause his own campaign while endorsing Trump, although he intends to remain on ballots in non-competitive states, ensuring his supporters’ voices are still heard.

Faith’s Role in Life and Politics

Kennedy, who is the son of the late U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, has openly discussed the importance of his Catholic upbringing. Reflecting on his childhood, he mentioned, “We said the rosary at least once a day, oftentimes three times a day. We prayed before and after every meal.” This deep-rooted tradition shaped much of his early life, but a tragic event—his father’s assassination—led to a profound struggle with his faith.

As a teenager grappling with the aftermath of his father’s death, Kennedy found himself moving away from his religious beliefs, saying, “During that period of time, I wouldn’t say I lost my faith, but when you’re living against conscience, which you have to do if you’re addicted to drugs, you push God out over the periphery of your horizon.” However, Kennedy’s recovery journey transformed his spirituality, establishing it as a focal point in his life.

“I had a spiritual awakening very early in my recovery, which I was lucky about because I no longer had to struggle with the compulsion to take drugs,” he recalled. He emphasized the necessity of daily renewal of spirituality through service to others, a principle that remains integral to his life.
